Zope on Mandrake

Easy way to install Zope on Mandrake Linux.

Nexedi maintains RPM packages of Zope, compiled for Mandrake. Very easy to install using urpmi. Check out the link above to see their wiki on using it.

As of this writing, they provide 2.5.1 RPMS, not Zope 2.6.

Once you install, you can go to /var/lib/zope/ and reset the admin password.

cd /var/lib/zope
zpasswd -u superuser -p suppassword access

To start the server, type /etc/rc.d/init.d/zope start. You can access the server at http://localhost:9673. The management interface can be accessed using the password suppassword and login superuser.
