CVSTrac is bug and patch-set tracking system for use with CVS. CVSTrac is designed for low-ceremony development - it provides mechanisms for tracking changes and bugs without unnecessary restrictions.
I’ve not tried this out. But the features seem to be excellent. Only thing I can think that I’ll miss is inability to support multiple projects in the same repository. Usually, I setup a CVS repository and then put multiple projects under the same repository. Makes it easier to maintain.
As long as the users (you, project team etc.) are comfortable with CVS, this should be a real good tracking system. I loved the idea of no unnecessary overheads! This very reason might be a big political (negative) factor in acceptance of these kind of tools into corporate environments these days.
