War on common sense

Is it only me, or does any one else think that there is some intelligence missing with intelligence agencies?

Today’s Washington Post Article - “Reflecting the view of the U.S. intelligence community, (U.S. Secretary of Defence, Donald) Rumsfeld said he had "not seen anything since last December that one can with certainty say that he (Osama bin Laden)’s alive or functioning. So he’s therefore either alive and well, or alive and not too well, or not alive." ”

Can a person exist in any form other than:

  1. Alive and well
  2. Alive and not too well
  3. Not alive

I’ve a feeling some public relations' czar would’ve polished the intelligence report saying they don’t know the whereabouts of Osama bin Laden to reflect:

Atleast they didn’t say bin Laden is not alive and doing well. May be it was someone who tried their hand at learning basics of boolean algebra.

This makes me nervous. If this is the kind of speech that comes out in connection with the largest man-hunt in recent times, I doubt I’ll feel any better about the War on Iraq.
