Kerala govt. employees call off strike

After 32 days of making public life miserable, the so called "public servants" of Kerala called off their strike.

• They (the leaders of the unions) got a face saving concession - cut in pension commutation is reduced by half.


• They got complete ill-will of all the citizens and those who want "God’s Own Country" to progress.


• Kudos to the govt. for bravely implementing no-work, no-pay policy.

My sympathies are with the employees who wanted to go to work to make ends meet, but could not do so because of the unlawful intimidation tactics of their (imposed) leaders. Though I had an affinity towards CPI-M, 4 years in college and events after that have convinced me that they are evil. UDF is no better, but they are not as harmful as LDF. Kerala will be saved only when the subsidies are gradually cut, community based reservation is removed and if government jobs are far less.

It’ll certainly help to have more choice than LDF and UDF.
