Indian law minister talks about our nation. Though I’m not much of a fan of BJP’s politics, I think Vajpayee and Jaitley are the best India can get now. I do agree that Nehruvian policies and 3 generations of Nehru family managed to completely devastate a nation in 40 years - must be a remarkable feeling. Worst part is that Congress(I) which can be called as the largest remaining faction of Indian National Congress has become such a spineless entity that it still has no leaders who can win elections unless draped in the sarees of the current Nehru family members.

  1. I am confident that what we lacked are leaders such as Arun jaitley who have given patriotism a realistic meaning which makes all who are citizens want to work hard be logical and analytical and think in a proactive fashion.

patriotism has now meant more than just fighting for freedom, now it means nurturing that freedom and taking the contry to the position of strength that should be rightfully hers. This is adding substance to our national identity.

  2. I think that what the Congress did in the 40 years after independence was driven by the economic and political imperatives of that time. Had BJP been in power during those years, they would have also aligned covertly with the Soviet Union, looked to the public sector for development and have a license permit raj to prevent individual business houses from becoming too big. we must not forget that the economic thinking of that era was colored by the thinking of the economists of that time --a time which was indeed very different. The Internet revolution had not happenned at that time. Economists still thought in terms of decreasing returns to scale. So to think that the BJP would have done in the 1950s what it is doing today--had it been in power at that time -- is just wishful thinking ignoring the context of the situation then.

As far as leadership is concerned, it is wrong to think that the Congress does not have leaders of Vajpayees and Jaitley's calibre. Each generation of its time produces leaders that are sensitive to the issues of that generation and I'm sure Congress too has such leaders. Leaders are not specific to parties but to generations and can be found in each party.

As far as practical thinking is concerned, again I think that this is a generational issue and perhaps the thinking of today's generation has become more practical and less ideological-- this is just of sign of the changes that are taking place today. So practical thinking is not just specific to the people of one party -- but would be found in candidates of all parties.

I look forward to constructive feedback about my views

  3. India needed the feel good promotion to awaken the country from its slumber as a result of being kicked around over the centuries. We were treated as trash for long enough under foreign rule and foreign culture imposed on us. Now we must assert our Hindu views. We have a lot to offer to this world much engaged in power struggle and killing.
Proselytesing religions are a menqace to spirituality and uplifting of the poor. There is a vacuum in leadership for the good while the evil are aplenty.

  4. Dear Arunji and and team of office bearer,

I write this letter with all humility to epxress the views of common man and to bring to your kind notice the reasons for the debacle of BJP in LokSabha Election.

    Why you have failed:

    1) You gave too much importance to your rival party leader.Everywhere the name of rival pary leader was heard by the Voters. Of course from leader and each and every leader of BJP and also from all fighting against congress.

    2) You made them larger than life by giving too much importance. You must cut your enemy to size not by shouting but just by ignoring.

    3) You should have said " we dont know what our rivals are and against whom we are fighting?". Congress is spent force.

    4) One thing you must know that your M.Ps. were thick skinned. They never kept touch with their constituency.

    5) When the wealth they declared as per the guidance of Election commissioner, people felt they are hypocrate
One of your M.Ps. is saying that he is people's man staying in rented room and have no car of his own and discloses the
wealth of about Rs. 2 Crores (AT cost). who is going to believe his words.Even after loosing his banners thanking
voters are displayed all over his constituency who is bearing this expenditure?

    6) In the assembly election in Maharashtra please do repeat your sitting MLAs. you will lose badly, none of them have
done anything in their constituency, people are fed up of them, they dont want to re-elect them.

I hope you will take these sugessions in right spirit.
