Waiting to turn the page

The Washington Post writes about personal publishing. I'm confused!

I read this article on-line (warning: annoying survey might come up) thrice. First, top to bottom. Then, top to bottom, very slowly. Then, bottom to top. I got a head-ache.

I still don't understand what the reporter is trying to prove - then again, The Post is usually very vague and positions themselves on self-styled journalistic high-ground

During my 5 years in USA, I've had the “pleasure” of reading monumental reports full of buzz-words from leading consulting companies. Recently, I followed the arguments (those are too numerous to list here) posted on Scripting News. None of these were as impossible to focus as this Post article.

May be it is just me today; but I didn't have a tough day at work and during lunch, even grokked GEF a little bit.

Update: Appropriate heading though, for the article. May be that's what the reporter wanted you to do - “turn the page”.

  1. I used to write like this - 5 years ago. Does that mean I am disqualified from applying for a "journalist" job at Post now?

If I had been reading the hard copy, I would not have waited "to turn the page". I would have done that after the first two paragraphs.

  2. Well, if you still can write like this, I think they would hire you in a minute :-)
