Andersja: “The pdf995 suite lets you do basic PDF creation and manipulation for free. We like. I’ve been wanting to have this ability for quite some time, but haven’t been willing to fork out the money for the Adobe products.”
If you’ve a Linux machine with Samba server, you can setup a service that turns anything you sent to a postscript printer into PDF. I’ve used this and it works very well.
Very nice idea too. It seems like the PDF995 product is using GhostScript components to do its job as well.
PS! Your email address & URL fields for comments are too short... (why limit at anything less than 100+ characters? if people have a long URL or a long email address it's not their fault...?)
Good catch, thanks! I've changed maxlength to 100 characters. I'm a bit hesitant to give more :-)
There is a Windows freeware tool that does the same thing. Do a google search on CutePDF.
