Last week, I read Time’s article on Vajpayee. Several Indian journalists feel that it really went overboard. I agree.
Quote: "India’s leader takes painkillers for his knees (which were replaced due to arthritis) and has trouble with his bladder, liver and his one remaining kidney. He is given to interminable silences, indecipherable ramblings and, not infrequently, falling asleep in meetings"
How about the current US leader? Interminable silences, indecipherable ramblings coupled with bad spelling and convoluted syntax ought to be mentioned some where!
BJP activists reacted by burning copies of the magazine. Now, that is really dumb. If you don’t like some thing, don’t spend money to buy it to destroy it - essentially you end up burning your money!
