Here is a list of GNU/Linux distributions available on LWN.net. I think these many distributions are possible because of the GNU license and it is a good thing.
At the moment, I connect to internet using a PC using a floppy distribution. I want to find out a suitable mini distribution that will let me share a spare 2GB hard disk via SMB, handles my DSL connection and act as a firewall. One of the 271 distributions in the list above should work!
