Watched Mitr yesterday. After a long time, I liked a Hindi movie. Maybe, it's the feminist part of me that prompted this. I do have to agree that this movie may appeal mostly to women.
It’s not just another immigrant story. It does portray the mingled emotions, the diaspora that many US Indians cope with. What struck me the most was the straightforward-ness or ordinariness (not sure if that is a word… but, I guess, you get the point) of the story. It could be anyone's story.
