Radio vs. Movable Type

Radio Free Blogistan compares these two. Pretty good comparison. Dave Winer seems to be unhappy about this though.

I had used Radio for a while. I tried out installing MT - I found it easy to install. I settled on using MT for the following reasons:

1. One installation that I can access from anywhere.
2. Great import/export and template support.
3. Very helpful community and authors. I sensed a holier-than-thou attitude with the Radio folks and that was a major reason for me to quit using it. To make it clear, I’ve never asked any questions about Radio on their forums, but reading about it by their users and author doesn’t make me feel nice.
4. Open source, and in a language I know.

I ended up making a donation for MT to an amount that more than covered the cost for Radio, because I fealt really good and nice about MT - the whole experience.

Judging by the comments posted in the review, it looks like there are people who feel strongly against the "Radio experience". I don’t! I just feel strongly for the MT experience, that’s all.
